Abstract:
This anthology is the first time that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) migrants and asylum seekers in South Africa have shared their stories and memories in print. It includes short non-fiction, poetry, and visual art created by eleven LGBTQ migrants and asylum seekers who took part in two participatory projects held in partnership with the Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action (GALA), the African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS), Seattle University and SUNY Downstate Medical Center School of Public Health between 2014 and 2015.
